LaVon Fields Obituary (1957

LaVon Marie Fields, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at her home. Vonnie, as she was affectionately called, was born on July 30, 1957 in Easton, Maryland. She received her education through the Talbot and Prince George's County Schools Systems. After graduation she worked for the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland for a brief period. She met and married James "Chick" Fields and relocated back to the Eastern Shore in 1980. Vonnie had a great love for all children, providing childcare for many different families in the area, until her health began to fail. She was always kind and had a gentle, sweet spirit that all the children loved. Her heart was made of pure gold which she shared with her family and friends unconditionally. Her infectious smile was share with all she came in contact with, even through her last earthly days. Vonnie was always the happiest when she was out on their boat, The LaVon Marie, fishing. She was known as the Fisher Lady of Bellevue. Some of her favorite past times were playing scrabble, doing crossword puzzles, putting together very large puzzles, surfing the web and watching her overwhelming collection of movies. LaVon, we your family and friends vow to keep your sweet spirit alive in our hearts forever, starting with your husband, James; daughter, Tamika; son in-law, Andre; stepdaughter, KeShaune; granddaughters, Teambra, Jaloni, Ahmia, Alayza, Ayana; grandson, Drequan; parents, Mary & Ernest Morris/Dwight & Meredith Henry; sisters, Karen "Cookie" Bolding, Patience Henry, Victoria Chandler, Tywanda Purnell; brother, Dwight and Joi Morris; aunts, Doretha Elliott (Randy), Geraldine Brummell, Georgetta Potter (Robert), Pearl Brooks, Mabel Green; Uncle, Norman Green; nine brothers in-law; eight sisters in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a very special cousin, Sylvia Jenkins; a devoted neighbor, Ella Haythe, other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 12 noon at Union Baptist Church 233 Glenwood Ave Easton, MD 21601 with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in Royal Oak Cemetery.
