Ecclesiastes 3:1\n\nJoseph Edwin Stanley Sr. was the youngest of eight children born on October 15, 1940 in Taylors Island, MD to the late Samuel Richard Stanley Sr. and Blanche A. Stanley. Joseph was summoned to spend life eternal with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 28, 2023\n\nAt a young age Joseph attended Lane UMC, Taylors Island; and in later years Jefferson UMC on Smithville Rd. His elementary education was at the school on Taylors Island and later at Mace's Lane High school in Cambridge, MD where he graduated with the class of 1958. \n\nOn February 15, 1964 Joseph was joined in holy matrimony to Christine B. Cornish. From this union two sons were born; Joseph E. Stanley, Jr and Ephraim D. Stanley.\n\nJoseph worked at the ACME factory in Hurlock until it closed and then at Cold Water in Cambridge where he was employed until the early 90's when illness resulted in him going on disability.\n\nJoseph had an outgoing and loving personality and spread his uplifting laughter everywhere he went. He could be counted on to be there for those in need. \n\nJoseph leaves to cherish precious memories his son Ephraim D. Stanley (Jacqueline); granddaughters Breyana and Nichole; grandson Enzo, and only surviving sibling Sarah Stanley Irving; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.\n\nJoseph was preceded in death by his parents; son Joseph E. Stanley, Jr.; and siblings - Martina, Pauline, Leroy, Samuel, James and Benjamin.
