\nSunrise May 29, 1941 \nSunset October 9, 2023\n\nIris Ellen Jolley Williams departed this life at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton, Maryland. Iris was the daughter of the late Isabelle Jolley and Cornelius (Nebo) Jackson.\n\nTo have known Iris was to have loved her.\n\nIris was a graduate of Mace’s Lane High School in Cambridge, MD, class of 1959. Iris loved dancing, going to church, making homemade yeast rolls and eating salt-water taffy. She also enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, MD and Canada, as well as helping other people. Iris worked for R.J. Reynolds, and retired from Cold Water Seafood Company after 35 years.\n\nIris was baptized at a young age. She was a member of Hurlock United Methodist Church, in Hurlock, MD. Iris served in several ministries until her health declined.\n\nIris leaves to cherish her fond memories: three children, Cornell Jolley, Sr., Jacqueline Williams, and Antinette Williams. Four grandchildren, Cornell Jolley, II., Tyesha Williams, Lamarr Williams, and Monte Jackson. Ten great-grandchildren Trevon Williams, Kiera Williams, Keana Williams, Javion Williams, Jadon Williams, Tiemier Williams, Kayla Williams, Za’leisha Williams, Za’aire Davis, Zadon Davis, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.\n\nIris was preceded in death by her ex-husband John Thomas Williams, daughter Michele Williams-Lopez, grand-daughter Shaytra Williams, siblings Geneva Davis and Edward Jolley, Sr.
