Hubert Young Jr Obituary (1935

Hubert R. Young Jr. (Joe) died on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the age of 74. He was born October 20, 1935 son of Hubert R. Young Sr. and the late Ruby Stanley Young. He graduated from F.D. St. Clair High School in 1952 and later enlisted into the U.S. Army. He became a master woodworker for Johnson's Woodworking where he retired from after many years of service. Hubert attended Mt. Horeb Baptist Church in Washington, DC. He enjoyed helping his father in his garden, fishing, woodworking, watching the Washington Redskins, playing cards and enjoying all that life had to offer. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister Constance Ella Young and a companion of many years Ms. Carolyn Howard. He leaves to mourn his father, Hubert R. Young, Sr. (Cambridge, Md); a sister, Loretta Young (Cambridge, MD); a son, Tyrone Pinkett (Chester, PA); a granddaughter, April L. Lewis (Joseph), Cambridge, MD; a great grandson, Corey Pinkett (Cambridge, MD); a nephew, Philander Young (Lisa), Cambridge, MD; four great nieces, Arleisha King (Dontra), Keyna Fisher, Ashley Young and Brittney Young (all of Cambridge, Md; the Howard Family of Washington, DC; very very close friends, Mr. & Mrs. Bernard Roberts, Mr. Cornelius "Ted" Cohen and Ms. Delores Jones and family all of Washington, DC who will miss him very much and a cousin that was just like a brother to him Mr. Arnette Stanley of Clinton, MD and a multitude of great great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 11am at Waugh Chapel UM Church 425 High St Cambridge, Md with a viewing one hour prior to the services
