Evon Stocker Obituary (1955

Evon "Bessie" McClease Stocker, 56 of St. Michaels, Maryland, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Md of a rare type of Leukemia. She was born October 11, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of Alice McClease and the late Argusta McClease. Evon attended elementary and middle school in St. Michaels graduating from Moton High School, where she was active on the hockey and volleyball teams. She was a hard working lady beginning at helping her grandmother, the late Daisey Bailey, clean local banks at a young age. Shortly after graduation, she started working at the Crab Claw Restaurant and was a faithful employee until her illness. Evon was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and recently a great grandmother. She was also a great sister, auntie and cousin. She had a lot of great friends. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Terone Stocker, Sr.; two daughters, Taron Stocker and Tina Stocker; a son, Terone Stocker, Jr. (all of St. Michaels, MD); five grandchildren, Keona Foster, Chikyra Stocker, Tierney Stocker, Tazon Foster and Tavron Stocker; a great great grandchild, Jamari Stocker; four sisters, Linda McClease, Joann Stanford, Shelia Blake and Donna Morton (all of St. Michaels, MD); a brother, Argusta McClease (Baltimore, MD); two step daughters, Santreese Smith and Lavonne Barnett; two step grandchildren, Nyshekia Cephus and Anthony Conyer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008, 1pm at Union United Methodist Church Railroad Ave and Fremont St St. Michaels, MD with a viewing two hours prior to the services. Interment will follow in Charles Thomas Memorial Cemetery.
