Erice Cornish Obituary (1949

Erice Wayne Cornish, 59 formerly of Cambridge, departed this life on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Genesis Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury, MD. He was born December 5, 1949, son of the late Lillian Cornish and Goldsborough Camper. He was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County and was a graduate of Wor Wic Community College, receiving his LPN certification. Spade, as he was affectionately called, was employed with Wicomico Nursing Home (Salisbury), Mallard Bay Care Center (Cambridge) and Genesis Rehabilitation Center (Salisbury). Erice was a member of Bethel AME church where he served on the Steward Board, Young Adult Organization and sang with the Inspirational Voices of Praise. He loved taking care of his patients. He cherished all of his children and shared with them the importance of education. Erice hobbies were crabbing, watching football (a Ravens fan) and westerns on the AMC channel (a Clint Eastwood fan). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Margaret Watford (Freddie), Whitney Randolph, Barbara Dickerson, Lykinda Price (John), Aloma Cornish, Dwayne Cornish, Evelian Cornish, Darien Cornish, Ericka Cornish and Jade Cornish; 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Aloma Elliott, Camilla Cooper (Robert) and Cardeaner Robinson (Andrew) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 7:15pm at Bethel AME Church 623 Pine St Cambridge with a viewing one hour prior to the services only.
