DeShan Wilmer Obituary (1963

DeShan Michelle Wilmer passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 19, 2012. Penny, as she was affectionately called by her family, was born on June 9, 1963 to Barbara Wilmer-Evans and the late Kenneth Lee Wilmer. Penny's Christian life began at Bethel AME Church in Centreville, Maryland. Penny graduated from Queen Anne's County High School and also Queen Anne's County High School Nursing Program in 1981 with a Certified Nursing Degree and graduated from Chesapeake College with an Associate's Degree. Penny was Candy Striper at Easton Memorial Hospital and was employed by Kent and Queen Anne's Hospital. She also was employed by Fisherman's Crab Deck and Kent Manor Inn. Penny enjoyed family gatherings, especially the holidays and had a love for animals. And as we all know, she loved a good time. She enjoyed life. Penny was a resident of Church Hill, Maryland. She was preceded in death by her father, the late Kenneth Lee Wilmer. Penny leaves to mourn and cherish a�" her mother, Barbara Wilmer-Evans; one daughter, Channel Meredith-Jones (Fred); three devoted and loving sons, Tyler Wilmer, Joshua Wilmer and Jordan Wilmer; one granddaughter, Briana Jones; one godson, Noah Lee Green; godmother, Wynona Anciani; two loving brothers, Kenneth A. Wilmer (Holly) and Bruce Keith Wilmer; three loving sisters, Sybill Roggerson, Charlene Wilmer and Dwane Green (Lyndon); along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 12 noon at Union Wesley United Methodist Church 110 Union Wesley Circle Chester, MD with a viewing one hour prior. Interment in Chesterfield Cemetery Centreville, MD.
