David William Mitchell, fondly known as Dave, was a charismatic, funny, smart, and witty individual who touched lives wherever he went. Born on February 27, 1980, in Springfield, MA, David's infectious laughter and clever humor brought joy to those around him. His passion for comic books, cars, and pro wrestling was well-known, and he loved engaging in animated discussions about his favorite characters, models, and wrestlers.
David lived in several places, from Watertown, NY, and Oshkosh, WI, to Jacksonville, AL, and even overseas in Korea and Germany, before finally settling in Cambridge, Maryland. Throughout his journey, he made friends from diverse cultures and backgrounds, truly embodying the quote, "A man's friendships are one of the best measures of his worth." Indeed, friendships mattered most to David and he cherished the bonds he developed with people over the years.
David is survived by his loving parents, Frederick and Tracy Mitchell, his brothers Joshua Mitchell and Daniel Thomas, and his sister-in-law Eunjee Mitchell. His children, David Jr and Daija Mitchell, will fondly remember their father's wit and warmth. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces Brenda Thomas and Sienna Mitchell, and his nephews Jaeden, Noah, and Baron Mitchell. His ex-wife, Newtina Mitchell, joins in mourning his loss.
David Mitchell was a man of great character who lived life on his own terms. His intelligence, humor, and charisma made him a delight to be around, and his memories will continue to inspire all those who knew him. As we bid farewell to David, let us celebrate his life and the joy he brought into ours.
