Daeqwon Zalik Rogers, affectionately known as Dae-Dae, was a loving son, grandson., brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, partner, step-dad and friend. Daeqwon was born on November 5, 2000 to Aundray Rogers, Sr. and Valerie Rogers, in Easton, Maryland. Dae-Dae went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2023. He was 22.\n\nDae-Dae received his education in the Queen Anne’s County Public School System. He also attended and completed the program at Silver Oak in Westminster, where he learned to play the piano, sew and cook. Dae-Dae attended Robinson A.M.E. Church along with his grandmother Emma Jean Freeman.\n\nGrowing up, Daeqwon played Pop Warner football, baseball, and basketball. He always had a love for sports. As he grew older, he found a love for fishing and cooking. Everyone who knew him, knew he loved spending time with his family, loving partner Sarah Pietruszka and step-children Sophia and Isaiah Epps. \n\nDaeqwon was preceded in death by his grandfather William Freeman, Sr. and great-grandmother Margaret Speller.\n\nDaeqwon leaves to cherish his many memories with his parents Aundray Rogers, Sr. and Valerie Rogers (Richard Dodd), grandmothers Emma Jean Freeman and Mary Durham; grandfather Jerry McWilliams; siblings, Aundray Rogers, Jr., Qwinton Rogers, Devon Rogers, Andreana Rogers, Malachi Sholtz, Aundray Malachi Rogers, and step-siblings, niece Ariel Rogers; nephew, Aundray Rogers, III, and step nieces and nephews. Aunts Misty Ward (Larry), Erica Buesing (Emmanuel) and Ashley Maynard. Uncles, Cordell Rogers, Sr., Troy Freeman, William Freeman, Jr. (Jomese), Timothy Maynard, and Joshua McWilliams (Shannon), devoted partner, Sarah Pietruszka and step children Sophia and Isaiah Epps. Godparents Tammie Carter and Arthur Jones, III. Special friends/step brothers Richard Dodd, Jr. and Raequan Dodd, best friend Ty’Rik Johnson and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
