Belinda Octarius Chester Jackson, 75, was born January 27th, 1948 to the late Edith Chester and Ben McCready, Cambridge, Maryland (Dorchester County). She was educated in Dorchester County Public Schools and graduated from Maces Lane High school "Class of 1966. Belinda passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 4, 2023.\n\nChurch was a part of her early childhood. St. Luke UM Church was her home church, but she also attended Center Street Church of God, Anointed One Ministry, and Mt. Moriah New Life Ministry here in Cambridge, MD.\n\nShe worked several jobs including Bumble Bee Tuna, Coldwater Seafood, and Kool Ice Seafood for 40 years. \n\nShe leaves to mourn the love of her life, Dwight Jackson Sr., AKA Lovey, Dumpty, and Sweet Pea. Dwight & Belinda were married April 25th, 1970 and they were blessed with four children: Renee O. White (who preceded her in death in 2019), William S. Chester (Nish), Dwight Jackson Jr., and Tinisha Jackson. Belinda was the baby girl of 5 brothers and sisters: Janie Pinder, Edna Pinkett, Valarie Gray, Aruth Chester, and Laymond Chester who all preceded her in death. \n\nShe is survived by eight grandchildren: Latavia Chester; Yuma White, Na Brent Chester, Ronquisha Pritchett, Kasyia Jackson, DeQuan Jackson, Ta' Marion Williams, Ta Bron Chester, seven great-grandchildren: Ny’Jah Chester, Amani Chester, Ny’Zher Youmens, Amri Chester, Nia White, Amiya Beauvoir, Le-Asia Baine; one great-great granddaughter, Londyn Chester; eight nieces, eight nephews, two godchildren, and a host of great nieces and nephews. Special friends and cousins: Cheyenne Copper, Paulette Chester, Sheila Chester, Dollie Jean, Rose Banks, Teresa Banks, and Barbara Parker.
