Alonza Dennis Obituary (1956

Alonza "Butch" Delano Dennis, Sr., entered into eternal rest on May 19, 2014, at the Dorchester General Hospital. He was the son of the late Alonza Cornish and the late Thomas and Lula Mae Dennis Woolford. He was born on November 19, 1956. He was educated in the public school system of Dorchester County, Cambridge, Maryland. Butch, as he was affectionately known, was a lover of dogs. He could be seen walking his dogs all times of the day and night. Butch was also an excellent gifted craftsman who was sought after for his skills as a mechanic, electrician, plumber, carpentry, customize vans, computers and electronics. While attending Maces Lane High School under the direction of Mr. Robert Batson, Butch was first seat of all the percussion instruments. He loved the drums and all types of music. His lifelong devoted friends, Benjamin Henry, Kermit Dixon, Barry Pinder and Evan Sharp were beloved as brothers to him. His caring and devoted friend, Shawtay Potter . Alonza served in the United States Army in Souel Korea and the United States. He leaves to cherish is memories his sons, Alonza Dennis, Jr. and Purpose Immanuel ezaver Alonza Dennis and daughter, Lucille jo'cole sincere Dennis; three grand children, Jaylan Askins, Braden Clayton, Ayla Dennis; brothers, Lawrence Dennis and Eric Woolford, Cambridge, MD; sisters, Rev. Dr. Lena Marie Dennis, Baltimore, MD, Tomasene Brown (Walter) and Bridget Jones (Lazarus), all of Cambridge, MD; three aunts, Nona Dockins, Gloria Woolford and Rosetta Montgomery; two uncles, Louis Woolford and Fredrick Woolford; a brother in-law, Alonzo Murphy (Salisbury, MD); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceding in death by his parents, two sisters, Ella Louise Dennis Killette and Felicia Murphy. Memorial Services will be held on Fri., May 23rd 1pm at Henry Funeral Home PA 510 Washington St Cambridge, MD.
