Ada Mae Briscoe, daughter of the late Ivy Andrew Sr. and Lenora Ennals departed this life on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge, Maryland.\n\nShe was married to the late Allen Vincent Briscoe, Sr. From this union one child was united. \n\nAda was educated in the Dorchester County Public Schools. She was soft spoken and quiet. She was adored by her family and friends. She enjoyed music, being in the St. Clair Marching Band and crocheting. She received her GED through home study.\n\nAda attended the Zion Baptist church in Cambridge and sang with the Mass Choir until her health failed.\n\nAda was employed at the J.M. Clayton and Van Dykes Seafood of this city until she married and moved to Plainfield, New Jersey. She also was employed with Shore Up, Inc. Foster Grandparent Program. She was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation. \n\nOn behalf of the members of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation, she earned the President's Volunteer Service Award.\n\nAda transitioned to the heavenly home from Autumn Lake Healthcare. She is preceded in death by her brother, Ivy Andrew Ennals, Jr., grand daughter Shonda Aaron, grandmother Florence and grandfather Mayor Ross, niece Angie Ennals, niece Marla Ennals, nephew Andrew Robinson, and nephew Carlton Ennals.\n\nAda leaves to mourn her son, Allen Vincent Briscoe, Jr., daughter Linda Mae Ennals, sister Florence Susie Ennals, and brother Buddy Andrew Ennals (Lorraine); nieces Renee Cooper, Carmen Carter, and Ivette Ennals; nephews Jim “Jimmy” Stuphen Ennals, Buddy Ennals, Jr., Ivy Ennals, III (Fontella), Christopher Ennals (Zee), and Samuel Glover; four grandchildren Ajhone Briscoe, Donjia Briscoe, Raymond (Paulette) Bailey; fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.\n\nSorrowfully submitted by the family.
